We are establishing a community interest company to provide safe, self-contained homes and the right support for care-experienced and homeless young adults — a stepping stone towards independent living.
Who we are here for
Empowering Support and Solutions CIC is being set up to support young adults aged 18 to 25 in Kirklees and the wider West Yorkshire region who are care-experienced, leaving care, or homeless or at risk of homelessness — people who are ready to live in their own space, with support around them while they build the skills and confidence for independent adulthood.
Our model
Self-contained homes
A real home of one’s own — not a hostel and not a care home — with privacy, dignity and security.
Floating support
Structured keywork and welfare support built around each person’s goals, with out-of-hours contact for emergencies.
Tenancy sustainment
Practical help with budgeting, benefits, life skills, health, education, employment and managing a tenancy.
A pathway onward
Planned move-on towards independent living, at a pace that is right for each person.
