We are establishing a community interest company to support young people impacted by or experiencing care — with safe homes and the right support to build independent, hopeful lives.
Who we are here for
Empowering Support and Solutions CIC is being set up to support young people aged 18 and over across West Yorkshire who are impacted by or experiencing care services — including care-experienced and estranged young people, those not in education, employment or training, those facing homelessness, and the families and people around them.
What we do
Housing-related support
Safe, settled homes and the help to sustain a tenancy — a stepping stone towards living independently.
Support linked to your home
Structured keywork and welfare support, based at the accommodation and built around each person’s goals, with out-of-hours contact for emergencies.
Education & employment
Support into education, training and work — reducing the number of young people not in education, employment or training.
Wellbeing & safeguarding
Advocacy, safeguarding and support for wellbeing, socialisation and connection — so no one faces things alone.
Our first service
Supported flats with accommodation-based support — Kirklees
Our first planned service is supported accommodation for care-experienced and homeless young adults aged 18 to 25 in Kirklees: self-contained flats of one’s own, with support based at the accommodation, and on-site space for learning and wellbeing.
