WHO WE ARE HERE FOR
A money worry can affect a tenancy. An unsettled home can make work feel out of reach. Learning a new skill can open a door.
ESAS is developing community-based programmes for young adults aged 18–25, particularly those who are care experienced, estranged from family, facing housing instability or not in education, employment or training.
We want support to feel connected, accessible and shaped by what people actually need.
OUR PROPOSED PROGRAMMES

Practise the everyday skills of running a home, before the unexpected happens.
Proposed six-week workshops using realistic tenancy scenarios: rent, bills, food, repairs and conversations with landlords.
Designed to build: practical confidence and evidence of independent-living skills, with agreed follow-up.
Explore working life, try something new and build a next step that fits.
A proposed flexible 12-week programme combining strengths discovery, short work experiences, CVs and portfolios, with progression support where funded.
Designed to support: routes into education, training and sustained employment.
A coordinating worker for the practical things that help life stay on track.
Proposed scheduled community support around housing, money, routines, digital access and opportunities. Frequency and duration will depend on the agreed service.
Designed to help: identify concerns early and connect people with appropriate specialist support.
Useful household essentials, more choice and practical experience along the way.
A proposed small pop-up pilot for first-home starter packs, with opportunities to learn stock management, photography, customer service and digital listings.
Designed to bring together: setting up a home and supported work experience.
Encouragement and navigation from people with relevant lived experience.
A proposed mentoring network with training, clear boundaries and professional supervision. Substantive delivery and co-design roles will be paid where funding allows.
Designed to create: trusted relationships and voluntary progression opportunities.
Learn digital and creative skills by making something with a real purpose.
Proposed small cohorts working on suitable community briefs: design, event content, photography and simple websites, alongside online safety and responsible AI use.
Designed to build: work examples, practical skills and feedback for a portfolio.
Help organisations see their services through a young person’s eyes.
Proposed training for housing staff, employers and community organisations, plus a Youth Lens Audit of communications and service journeys.
Young contributors will be supported and paid where funded. No one will be expected to share their personal story.

OUR FLAGSHIP PROPOSAL
Connecting home, money and health-related support with routes towards work.
Bridge is being designed for young adults aged 18–25 with disabilities and/or long-term health conditions who face barriers to work, with priority given to care experience or housing instability.
Our proposed model brings practical support, workplace adjustments and real-world experiences together. We want to test what helps people engage, progress and sustain work.

ABOUT ESAS
Empowering Support and Solutions Community Interest Company was incorporated on 2 July 2026. We are a company limited by guarantee with an asset lock.
The earlier training-flats proposal is on hold. Our current development focus is community-based support, skills and employment programmes.
Three directors oversee ESAS. Governance arrangements will cover finance, risk, safeguarding and delivery quality, with conflicts of interest managed through recorded decisions.
Before launching funded services, we will confirm staffing, appropriate insurance, safeguarding and complaints arrangements, data protection, financial controls and delivery responsibilities.
We will distinguish proposed activity from delivered results and report our community benefit through the annual CIC report and accounts.
The initial programme scope is adults aged 18 and over. We are not currently providing accommodation, personal care, clinical treatment or emergency support.
